Damn good deal for an 83". It shares the name with the S90C, but it's using an LG WOLED panel.

.gov or edu won't work for this deal. You need to have access to EPP to get the pricing op has mentioned. I can create an epp account for you. Trading $5 amazon. Dm if interested.

S89c is currently $1800 at Best buy. Same tv as s90c.

I don't get one thing about QD-OLED. if it is brighter, it should be better for bright rooms I would think, but I have heard it actually looks worse than W-OLED when there is more ambient lighting. So then what's the point of being brighter?

The 77" s89c is a best buy exclusive model. Same specs as the 77" s90c. Only difference is the stand and it's a slight difference - the s90c stand is 2 feet that are connected and the s89c is 2 feet that are not connected. both are compared on rtings if you would like to check them out.

Anybody have a problem with 'only' 2% cashback post for this? I sent an email out to see why only 2% cashback posted, when Samsung and TV category should have gotten 5%. Waiting on a response....

I wonder if anyone has any experience viewing the actual 83 s90c. I tried Best Buy and Costco but could not find them on a display. I was able to check the 83 LG C3. Though not as bright the image looked spectacular in that large size. My hope is s90c is at least close to C3 since they are same panels in 83. For what is worth even the LG G3 in 83 inch do not have the MLA panel and is the same panel as s90c 83 since they all are made by LG Displays. I am on the fence. The 83 inch s90c that I ordered has not shipped yet.
I hate it when there is large model that is reviewed by smaller versions with different panels and specifications.
Years ago, Sony had the 850 series TV. Some people claimed that the 85" had much better quality due to the panel being the same as the 900 series!

What's your dilemma?
Not getting qd-oled? I really think it's a little overblown. If you have never owned a qd-oled, you will never miss it. Any oled will blow anything else out of the water.
Is it the money difference? A TV is something you will rarely replace because of the size. Buy the largest best TV you can afford. I think most people who can afford 1800 can afford 2300 or even 2500 but I can't speak for you.
Tldr. Get the 83.

How are you all getting the 10% off, are the agents creating the cart? If so then how is the cash back working out?

You won't go wrong either ways. I personally like large screen size and went with 83" version. Absolutely love it in my space. I don't think you will go wrong either ways. For me larger the image size the better in my living room. Given an option I would love to go even higher screen size but not ready / could not afford to spend 30K on 98" OLED !!

Yeah I wish the panels were consistent across different sizes. But can understand the complexities in manufacturing especially scaling to such huge panels. Hopefully in future these companies streamline and be more consistent.

Go through your normal cashback process to open up the Samsung website on your browser, and then click the chat icon in the lower left hand corner to get connected to a live rep. I think one of the chat options in fact is for questions about discounts. Then tell the rep which model you are looking for, and ask about available discounts/promotion. They will likely first offer the free 2-year extended care coverage, and you can then ask if they can also provide a 10% discount. They will then create an order with a link, that you can click from the chat window, and the items with the discount will show up in your basket, and then you can check out on the website (including entering a referral code if this is your first purchase).
