Went to HD to get the Rigid Blower/Trimmer Combo for $99 and came across the Makita LXT 18V 4.0 Ah Lithium-Ion (Leaf Blower/String Trimmer) Brushless Cordless Combo Kit (2-Piece) - $164.00
This was at the 45th & Western store in Chicago. I took one, there was one more left.
This deal is extreme YMMV.

The trimmer sucks for edging. But for normal cutting around buildings, fences, etc. it works great. Probably its biggest drawback is the 0.080 string breaks much easier than 0.095 most of us are used to.
The blower burns through a 5AH battery in about 10 minutes. I always have to change it out just before I'm done but I have a LOT of concrete I clean up after mowing. If you don't have a battery powered blower, you don't yet know how often you'd use one if you didn't have to pull start it. During parts of the year, I'll pull it out and run it for less than 15 seconds to move some leaves then lean it back up where it goes every 3 or 4 days. But I also used it 2 days ago on and off over a 3 hour period where I was cleaning up a finished shed getting ready for gardening season. I start my seeds in the shed and used the blower instead of sweeping constantly after moving boxes around. More than powerful enough for smooth surfaces and no emissions so you can use it indoors.
The other big upside from both is how much quieter they are than gas tools.
All this said, I would probably opt for M18 or LXT X2 tools if I were buying again. But if you can find these at this price, you will likely be very happy with them.
