How is this in comparison to the Energizer headlamp from Amazon for about $14, often on post here?

Both use 18650 batteries; Energizer has micro USB charger.

Nice headlamp for a great price. I have the HD15R already. Ordering one of these to go with it.

Get the battery with it. It's of sufficient quality and gives good runtime.

Actually, the video on the website, from YouTube, is not their own video. It's a very detailed overview of how it works with comparisons vs some other brands, and shows lumens at different brightness levels.

I got the energizer. I don't like how they advertised 1,000 Lumens but in reality that's only in turbo mode. It's okay nothing special. Then again it was $10-15. Just wish it had a magnet.

I'm sure the one in OP will also have Max brightness on turbo mode which will then go down to the next level below after a few mins. I think it's a safety feature in all torch lights.

one of the video reviews alerted me to the existence of 15r. At this power level you don't really need a spot light and the 15r replaces the spot with red.
That would make a killer high cri camping light if the interface wasn't stupid. you really got to have 2 buttons with red light and white light or it misses the point.

15r also available for 27$ from wurkoss direct.

The HD15 has two LEDs. Turbo mode is 1000 lumens each, so 2000 lumens. But turbo mode usually backs off to high in a minute or less.
High mode is 400 lumens per LED, so 800 lumens.

Newbie (to flashlights like this) question . I use headlamps from whatever Costco had in ad and they've been invaluable doing home projects and outdoors snow shoveling at night etc. Always interested in what the next level is. So I see "turbo mode" mentioned in this post and a couple of others. What is the purpose of this setting if it gives it a very bright light but only for a minute or so?

my FC11s from the previous FP deal have just arrived in the USA from China. Ordered them 8 days ago now. I am guess will be about 2 weeks total shipping time. Although I did hear of someone else on here that got theres in a couple days shipped from the USA.

I did order 2700k tint though, and they ordered 4k tint. The 4k is much more popular/common so that might be the reason.

Turbo mode is useful for getting a brief but clear picture of a large area before stepping down to a more sustainable brightness level. I use turbo on a similar head lamp when I need to see from one side of a mobile home belly to the other, or to briefly light up long attics. It's not something you would use while working on a project up close.

It's a good lamp because i have infinite supply of 18650. And looking into Rigid or Rioby battery/plug-in lights because i'm not a fan of constantly pushing the switch to get the brightness i need. This light is better than nothing. A balance between lower price or nothing at all.
