Free shipping is really getting to me. Got this and the 3/8 impact wrench. I've been stapling plastic to ceilings, and it's amazing how hard it can be to fire the gun in certain positions. Also, I'm getting old, my son would say.

Ordered it yesterday when the free shipping code worked.

They sell it with a battery and charger but it costs $70. I have several tools and batteries.

This tool is great. I'll never use a manual crown stapler again. Not specific to Ryobi - any powered stapler is just a gift from the tool gods.

Deal seems lukewarm at best. I'd still get one knowing how superior it is over the typical manual staplers.

Not sure if I understand what kind of staples does this shoot... What is the gauge? Says "from 1/4 in. to 9/16 in." - that's just a bit taller than half-inch. Doesn't seem like anything serious can be driven by this toy

Typical 3/8" staples which are easy to buy. Not for office staples these are thicker. Stanley heavy duty ones for example.

these are pretty small though. I'm questioning whether an actual power tool is necessary to put these. I guess you can use them for roofing purposes, to attach tarp? But for that a hammer-stapler is much more handy. I'm seriously unsure if I would ever use it...
