Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
I bought this on impulse and then was thinking of canceling even though I do a fair bit of auto work for our cars (timing belts, valve adjustments, suspension work). Like others wrote, pulling the bearing is not very common and i think they give you lots of warning. No need to have a specialized tool for an unlikely event.
Then I saw this video from a link in the previous deal. That attachment for a vice grip gave me many ideas around house. Hope it gives you some ideas.
If you've been thinking about getting a slide hammer, just go ahead and buy it at this price. This set is nice and I'd consider the quality to be similar to the much more expensive tool truck version we have at work. One thing I do suggest is grinding the little "hook" attachment to have more of a flat face that is perpendicular to the threads. Also, it's easy to make custom attachments. I believe the shaft has 1/2-20 UNF threads.
Autozone, Oreilly etc will lend these out for free. Why spend $65?
At my auto parts store, they do have these to borrow but they make you pay the value of the tool itself to do so, which can range from $50 to this tool's msrp and sometimes they don't have it stock. I would say, if you're a gearhead or a determined diyer, this price makes sense.

They made me machine 10 of these for tool trailers at work over the summer. It made no sense with the cost of materials and labor when you can just buy a ready made kit like this.
