YMMV - I found these 2 packs of LED Edison light bulbs in both Soft White and Daylight for $1.99 per pack. They were on an end cap and marked at $4.88 but ring up at $1.99. Found them at two different Home Depot's in San Antonio, TX. Link is to 4 pack because I could not find 2 pack online.

My HD sold the 2-packs in Clearance although some were 1.99 and 2.99. I have them installed now and love the color/light.

I have the 100w eq version and really like them, when they worked.
After a year of use in the kitchen (at 50% brightness on a dimmer) one started to flicker at anything over 30%. Then another, then all 4.

Plus side, feit agreed to replace all the bulbs under warranty, so I'd still recommend them.

These were also at my store. $1.99 for 2-pk. Not in clearance section but in the regular bulb section with it's own display.

This appears to be them. Says unavailable at my location, however they are there. If you want some, stop by a store and look for them.

Picked 2 sets at $1.99 each. As OP mentioned, Home Depot doesn't show the specific item # it in stock online, but there were two boxes (one 2700k and one 5000k) marked clearance (not in clearance section) in the middle of light bulb isle.
