I'd left Arcade1Up behind after tinkering with a few of their first gen cabs, but the new 'deluxe' models brought me back in.

These are a big upgrade over the old 3/4 scale machines and are fully comfortable for everyone in my family ranging from 5' to 6' tall comfortably. The control panel is actually the same height as the arcade original but does have a slightly lower screen height. It's a good scale for home use, has a bright/clear monitor and decent controls out of the box. I did end up adding adding a couple of red LED's behind the coin doors for an extra dimension of realism but otherwise run mine fully stock.

This has a GREAT library of games beyond the 4 MK titles including Gauntlet, Joust, Paperboy, Defender, Tapper and more which get more play than the awesome marquee series.

I also have the Street Fighter II cab that's also on sale for $350 and it's another winner, with a bit more modern game mix but another comfortable cabinet design that looks great in our basement without taking up an excessive amount of space... and it's also easy to softmod to add lots of additional titles with minimal fuss... though I've enjoyed mine in their stock configuration aside from adding the red LED's to the coin doors in both cabinets (really the only design miss I would call-out with them).

I believe I paid around the same for both cabinets ($300 + 400) and think they are worth every penny given how much our kids and friend enjoy them when we're hanging out.

I bought this last night. Can't wait for the delivery.

We have the Pac-Man deluxe and it's pretty good. The deluxe is the right size cabinet.

Why would you get this when you can order an arcade cabinet that has 17,000-21,000 games installed on it?
That's what I'm interested in. This is great if I can use the controls and inputs for other systems like a mame setup

Walmart has sold for less if you check past sales. I wouldn't pay this price especially to a company like Woot.

Besides the height, what else is upgraded over the regular 3/4 smaller ones? Are they wider too? Better quality controls at all?

Our Best Buy has this one set up to play.

My muscle memory came right back and got all the way to the top with good ol cyborg Smoke, spamming all the usual bombs, spears, and teleport uppercuts. And of course I blew up the earth every round

They also sell the classic and legacy editions which is different from the deluxe. They have the deluxe at $499 and I haven't seen it drop. You sure it wasn't the other versions?

As someone who has a multicade with 40K games and a computer in it, it's not what people buying these are buying them for. It's the art and nostalgia plus maybe the select games on it. Not every game plays well on certain screens and button layouts. Plus, having anyone play my multicade requires instructions and even babysitting. It's also not fun to search through thousands of games versus fire a machine up, play with online mode and shut it off.

If you want a mame setup then grab at ATGames legends ultimate and search google for "awesome sauce atgames". I have arcade 1ups for pure nostalgia and a mame machine for everything else. I will say the arcade 1ups get far more play time because they're not as overwhelming with game selections.
