Very Wrong. I have an 8Gb m2 Mac mini and it handles things perfectly. the vast majority of casual Mac users will never be able to tell the difference between 8 and 16. I know im gonna get a lot of hate for this buy the "8gb not enough" is a very windows pc thing. I have no idea how Mac manages to work so well with 8gb but it does and im not gonna complain about it

I am not a Mac hater. I am shopping for Macbook Air. But this should be the regular price for an M2/8GB/256GB MBA (both screen sizes).

You need price differentiation to reflect production costs. But I see your point.

a 100$ isn't that big of a deal, and they are almost always at this price so who cares

Got M2 brand new from Costco for $899 during BF but it was for 13 inch model.
So perhaps a better price should come.

you can still return it if u want , costco has a very long return policy. keep in mind trade in value and resale value will be higher for the 15" model. plus its bigger

I dont think they will be that great. m3 in the MacBook Pro has already been kinda disappointing. apple themselves compared m3 to m1, not m3 to m2 in their reveal event. apple was really leaning on Intel Mac users to upgrade to M3

Yeah I'm personally not expecting much either. I don't even consider the M3 that much of an upgrade from the M1 personally, especially in the Pro series chips. I don't do anything on my MBP that would benefit from the hardware ray tracing though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt...

I second this. I do serious video editing and photo development work and my 8GB M1 does phenomenal.
