I needed some 6AH batteries for my track saw, older 4AH work, but 6AH MAX will be great. I have a 9AH battery, but it's not exactly a lightweight!

I just got into the Ridgid line with their cordless vacuum. Could use some 6ah batteries since they only last about 15 min or less. I was also looking at those pruners as a possible next purchase.

I think they removed it, must be price error because they show 112 in stock yet, cant order. Stated can't added to cart.

All the comments about the included batteries aside, I'm struggling with the concept of a set of pruning shears with a 6Ah battery. First, these just seem like a REALLY HEAVY set of pruning shears. Heavy, EXPENSIVE pruning shears that you need to charge to use. Next, if you have a lot of pruning to do and are thinking your hand will tire from the squeezing action, well you still have to squeeze to make this work - it's just that your arm will tire from holding this a lot sooner than your hand. Then, if what you need to trim is too big for hand pruners, get lopping sheers. And if it's too big for lopping sheers, get a saw... All of which you can buy for well under 179 (including say a nice set of Felco have pruners, a good set of high leverage Corona or Fiskars loppers, and a Samurai hand saw -all of which will get you through most domestic yard pruning that doesn't require a chain saw).

What am I missing?

Sure it's hard to swallow the price tag when there are a bunch of cheap tool that will do the same thing for less. I've cut and took down a ton of brush and trees in the last few years. And tools like this make a huge difference. Having to squeeze with one hand manual cutters is very tiring, especially when the branches are thicker now you have to use two hands. Dry thicker branches add to the effort. And you only made 10 cuts and your hand is tired. While this is heavy you don't have to worry about the effort required for thick, dry or a hundred cuts. Big had loopers also require allot of effort. Try taking down a bigger branch you are strategically trying to cut as big as possible to be done with the job as well. Now you have to try to shove everything into the garbage can. With these type of pruners you can cut branches into small pieces to fit into the garbage can your only worry is to slow down not speed up so your finger does not get to close to the jaws. I have the Ryobi version of this and got this one as well.

For this price, the appeal is mainly the batteries. Tool is a cheap bonus.
