I had the same experience with a toothpaste purchase. Took exactly 30 days before I was emailed and the credit showed up in my account.
This seems to be the new thing. Is this to prevent people getting a credit right away and then returning the product?

Not really much of a "slick" deal. Same count is $14.99 at Target before 5% red card and you don't have to worry about if your going to ever get the promo credit or not. They never paid for a $15 one from around Black Friday.
