It is no big deal unless you stay a lot of nights with this promo. It is an extra night towards elite status which gets you lounge access when you hit 50 nights in a year.

1,000 points are valued at about $8

Not bad...at least I was able to actually apply this promo - 3/4 of the time, they don't apply to my account.

Not the greatest promo, unless you have some serious stay activity coming up in the next few months. But I'll take it, as any extra points will help offset the devaluation Marriott has done to their redemption / hotel category process over the past few years. still not as bad as Hilton devalued their program...but it's getting there in the race to the bottom of the devaluation path.

For those not able to sing up on line, pick up the phone and call CS. The last time this occurred it was a back end issue and CS agents were able to manually add me to the promo.

No need to rebook as long as your trip starts after the promo period starts. Also points, points+cash and certificates don't qualify.

Why do you say as long as your trip starts after the promo period? Doesn't the T&C state it's for stays that end during the promo period?

I meant that is a simple scenario regarding rebooking. You will actually get double ENC and bonus points for every night stayed during the promo period, regardless of the start and end dates of your trip.
