I got one of these for ~$130 on Black Friday in 2016. This was one of the best purchases I ever made and I think I'll order another one for $170 now and be very happy.

This cheap little generator works so amazingly well. We have sent ours to hell and back - its been left out in the mud in the pasture for months, covered in snow, rained on, etc. I don't think we've ever changed the oil. It just keeps on running when we need it to operate the heaters for our pasture water troughs. It's small enough that its easy to carry around, and the engine is small enough that my wife can start it without complaining.

Absolutely love this generator. It works so well and is so cheap that I think it's probably the best value in generators around.

Dude stfu, I ordered 2 instead of 1 because of your multiple posts. Believe it or not people use generators for more than phone chargers. Battery generators capable of powering a furnace, sump pump or refrigerator are extremely expensive. The batteries will occupy landfills til the end of time and take slave labor to mine them. Screw you.

Do you realize that the power you use to charge your electric generator comes from burning coal or nuclear power plant which can cause environmental disaster? Do you even know where the batteries come from and how they are made? Are you aware of battery disposal environment impact? Do your own research and realize that you will leave larger environmental footprint with batteries rather than gas.

NO gas generators should be promoted. Please note big battery generators have come way down in price, and do not pollute anywhere close to a gas generator. Also note, gas generators do not adhere to the same emissions as a normal car, making the air far more toxic in the surrounding area where it runs...its just dumb on all levels to promote this product.

they should have been stronger in banning it, it's nonsense to allow these to keep polluting the air, battery generators are a better option
There's no such thing as a "battery generator"

There's battery powered power stations, but those are limited in what you can do with them. Good luck running a furnace or a refrigerator or a window AC unit off a battery if the power goes out.

Is there any regulation that prohibits us from shipping you to California...?

would this work for a pop up camper to plug in just for some dome lights? Plugging in a few lights/tv when the power goes out? Never used a generator or inverter before

Yes BUT...
something this is probably better for you if you plan on using the camper., especially if you already have propane stove, no need for you to maintain 2 fuel sources. .

You may want to tally up all the "potential" electric use in watts for the camper to determine what's appropriate.

Thanks! Ill double check, but its just a little pop up camper that really only has a dome light or two in it. We've always just used our own LED camping lights but figured, at this price it might be worth while to get.

Can it power 12 year old sump pump?
Probably not. Most sump pumps have starting wattage that exceeds 1000W and you'd be cutting it real close with running watts too.

You're suggesting that I use a battery to charge my batteries in my camper? Lol

Low wattage output, which really limits it's uses, but 17 cents per watt is pretty cheap for an inverter generator.

Uses would be very limited:
  • Lights: Multiple 60-watt bulbs or several LED lamps.
  • Electronics: Laptops, cell phone chargers, tablets, radios.
  • Small appliances: Coffee makers (depending on wattage), toasters (depending on wattage), small fans.
  • Camping gear: Portable projectors, camping lights, small blenders.
  • Some pellet stoves (depends on make & model).

Be warned it's more like 500 running 800 starting, got one a few years ago, couldn't even run power tools on it, good for very light loads. Wanted to use it with a battery charger.

The 1400 Watt is only $199. Looks like some really good prices for all the models, if they are as good as some people say.

That is not an inverter generator.

Ignorant comment. When you need a gas powered generator, you'll know why I say that. Hopefully you never do.

I have 3 of these, use them all over. Power output looks fairly clean on a scope and I've had really good luck with all 3.

Loaned my moms neighbor one who ran it overnight running their sump pump to keep the basement from flooding no problem. YMMV based on sump pump size/age/head/etc.

Almost tempted to buy another, but I haven't had issues with mine.
