Was big on Arlo originally and went all in to end up with 6 cameras, 4 lights, 2 doorbells and 3 solar panels. I don't necessarily regret it, but it is a very dead end product. They keep pushing the subscription service and without paying it, it handicaps the features and capabilities. On top of this, the product development and support isn't there. Products are proprietary and are costly to replace, if replaceable at all. For example, a squirrel chewed through the power cable between a solar panel and a camera - nobody sells just the cable. Arlo forces you to buy an entire solar panel, and there are no aftermarket cables. Also, even though cameras are powered via mini-USB, the power requirements are different than typical USB adaptors, so they don't properly power/charge the cameras…over time they go to 0% power until you can use an Arlo branded adaptor and cable to fully charge it. Just silly wasteful and nickel-and-dime stuff like this makes me sour on Arlo.

I was surprised to see the Arlo Pro 4 seems to have worse video quality than the much less expensive Blink Outdoor (3rd gen), at least with indoor lighting.
