Yes it will melt everything around it though, it will become your 90W heating element to speed up warming up of your car during cold weather just make sure to unplug it once you see trim around your socket starting to smoke but make sure you have pliers to grab it because by then it will be so hot it will burn your fingers.
On serious note how does it pass any safety standard when they allowed for that tiny size to process that much amount of current? The heat produced during high load has to go somewhere in this case cars metal socket and anything holding it down in place.
