Solid deal on a really good game. I already have the game and mainly buy physical so deal is of no interest to me but for those that don't know, this is a really good game. Most years, it would have been a candidate for GoTY but this past year was very strong. If you ever played an Armored Core game in the past and enjoyed it, you will likely enjoy this one too.

You're going to be waiting a long time. It's a FromSoftware game.

Replay value is good. The game has a New Game + & New Game ++. It'll have new missions that were not available during the other playthroughs & a slightly different storyline. I'm working on the NG++ right now.

Hmm just 18 hours to beat. How's the replay value of the game?

Shouldn't really be an issue, this is Bandai Namco produced. We're not looking at another Sekiro never-under-$30 situation.

Took me 70hrs for platinum trophy. It's FromSoft so expect multiple endings and playthroughs. There are S-ranks but tbh the reward for the effort is pitiful. Only worth it if you really need that achievement trophy. Ballpark 35hrs for all endings ignoring S-ranks.

I love the Souls games, Sekiro, etc. I know this isn't the same but would it be relatively safe to assume that I'd probably be cool with this game too?

It's similar in some respects, but I didn't like it as much. Let me say, I liked it a lot! It's definitely worth $40. But I didn't like it as much as DS, Sekiro, or Elden Ring. For me, and maybe it's just because I'm middle-aged, AC was harder in some respects because there is a lot going on in the various battles and it's hard to keep track of things. Missiles flying everywhere, random alarms, very fast camera movement, etc. Basically, it's faster combat which rewards more button mashing. But all in all, it's a lot of fun.

$29.99 is what I paid for a new copy from Secondipity back in September or October. I'd have posted it but it was a one off

Just? There is zero reason a game like this should be longer than 18 hours.
