They kept disappearing !
Isn't it the same as a Dutch oven or crockpot where it's a ceramic coating with a glaze? If so, the dishes we're eating off of have them, too. I think the physical properties of the finish matters as well, not only what's in it. If it's something like my Dutch oven I'd trust it well beyond what any regular non-stick could handle even if it has traces of the same chemicals. I wouldn't eat off a pile of silica and dried mud, but I will eat off of a porcelain dish. Same ingredients, but very different physical properties. Also wildly different how much of it will get in your food.
