My Frigidaire looks exactly like this. Probably the same manufacturer. FYI this does not keep the ice frozen. The ice melts to the bottom of the machine then it uses it again to make ice. Non issue for events but I wouldn't recommend as a continuous use allowance.

Bag of ice is dirty if you plan to put them in drinks.

Lol bullshit. There's absolutely no chance this thing can get cold enough to freeze water in 6 minutes. Probably closer to an hour per batch of ice.
It certainly does. You say this because you haven't used it or seen how it works.

Great to have around when you have guests since the fridge runs out.
or when the fridge eventually craps out, this style has been my permanent ice maker

I would Definitely get extended warranty on these if available. They break down within a year. I go through these alot so with this deal and extended warranty it's a great deal

In my experience these types of ice makers are a pain to clean (need to regularly to prevent mold) and have about a two year life spam. Still for $50, this is solid price I would consider.

I keep messing with my ice maker in hopes to get it working again one day.

I feel like the water line in it just froze and it's why it doesn't work anymore.

I'm just stuck with it because I'm not spending $2,000 on another fridge for ice. I was making cubed ice then putting it in the dispenser but that was just a hassle.

Does it make clear ice? I only use clear ice in my mocktails.

I have this device and obviously, so far, you never bought one. In six minutes it produces about 9 ice cubes. And every 6 minutes produces another batch. That sounds reasonable to me. That is my experience.

Now, this device doesn't have a freezer built in, so when the basket in the device gets full I dump basket in freezer container , and fill it up , takes about 3 batches to fill up one freezer plastic container that costs 2 dollars a piece at walmart. I fill up about 4-5 freeze plastic containers and then turn off the ICE maker, and put it in box it came in. During hot weather use the 4-5 frozen ICE containers for drinks and other stuff. Works for me. I DO NOT KEEP this ICE cube maker on 24/7. Also, I use filtered water from brita to make the ice cubes. I do NOT use tap water!

Makes in batches but you get about 1 cube per minute.
The ice is not super hard and melts quicker than what you get out of the freezer
Worst thing about it is keeping it clean if you leave it running for more than a day or so as the constant moisture and open environment leads to prolific mold

These are white labeled so lots of different brands of the same thing. They're great for what they are and spit out ice pretty fast, but they are a pain in the cleaning department. Mold forms in hard to clean places so it's good to run bleach through it ever other month or so keep it from starting.
