Are they ever going to come out with cheaper vertuo line pods?? They are like $13 a sleeve now.
Nobody buys that at full price, Odacio and Stormio are 12.50 and way better than Starbucks. I would pick it up at $27.xx like they had it in the past though, I think they ended up at .80 per pod.
How are these compared to Lor, Peet's, LaVazza, etc?
These are MUCH better than Lavazza and L'OR, slightly better than Peets. I just compared Starbucks Pike Place Roast side-by-side to Lavazza Classico yesterday and it wasn't even close.
I have no allegiances to Starbucks either so it's not bias talking

What others have said is true, these are the best of the ones you mention. The reason isn't necessarily the coffee itself, but the pod construction. These are actually made and distributed by Nespresso themselves so the capsules are identical to actual Nespresso brand. They have a seal around the rim and a filter inside that other capsule makers just can't quite seem to replicate as well.
I generally prefer Peet's coffee to Starbucks, but these brew better than Peet's capsules.

Nespresso still have the patent on the vertuo line capsule design so no direct competition on the capsules.
