I just got the $55 7artisans 25mm f2 lens from B&H for my Fuji X-T1. It's almost pancake sized, so I would 100% factor that into the buying decision as much as I would the price difference.

Image quality is fine for $55. Soft corners and a lot of vignette if you care about those things.

At f2, the focus ring stops a little bit past infinity, so it needs to be calibrated by the end user.

At f8, the focus scale is accurate enough. 1 meter to infinity falls between the f8 zone/hyperfocal focus lines and everything past 1 meter is actually sharp and in focus

My lens had a small ding in the focus ring knurling when I opened the packaging. The box was sealed with tape, so nobody opened it before me. I could see bare metal under the ding. It wasn't enough to go through a return.

I assume the parts got knocked around during manufacturing, so fairly standard for a Chinese manufacturing plant.

FWIW This is the only lens on APSC that give's a medium format-ish look to the images. At the deal price it's a steal.

37.5mm equivalent focal length
f0.95 x 1.5 crop = f1.425 equivalent depth of field/bokeh

so basically a 35mm f1.4 equivalent on APS-C. it's comfortably in the high end full frame ballpark

1.4/0.8 to bump up depth of field to fuji's digital medium format sensor, it's about f1.8 in the medium format world
