I'll always open the box to inspect cans before storing. Last batch of friskies from Amazon had a bunch of busted cans, rotting and infested with some sort of bug eggs. The retail box looked fine on the outside (lucky I was in the mood for organizing). I received a refund of course but it was absolutely disgusting. That said, thanks OP, purchased.

Thx for the advice. I'll open it outside, unknown bug eggs scare me.

I tend to notice everything discounted on Amazon is expired or just really messed up.

I can confirm they are ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ, a good source of vitamin A. It's low grade ingredients compared to what humans eat so don't expect it to taste gourmet.

I've had the same thing happen, but it was immediately noticeable. Most of the other cans are dented but safe. My guess it's damaged in shipping.

These usually end up being 24 count once the busted cans are disposed of.

Title appears like the entire pack is "Shreds", but description/pics shows "Meaty Bits" and "Filets" also. My cats often throw up with the larger, harder "Meaty Bits" and "Filets", which are not very softโ€ฆ.while eating "Shreds" without issue. Otherwise, great price.
