Haven't used these, but I've had my truck battery going on 7 years now with no corrosion and other vehicles not building up corrosion by just spritzing a little silicone spray on the terminals couple times a year.

How does this make front page. I don't how it it protects the battery, what part of the battery does it protect. It is at the bottom of the terminal. I tried it once and the terminal still had corrosion. The sealant spray was more effective. Maybe this was relevant before sealed lead acid batteries came when you could open the top. Most people probably just buy it without thinking. If $1 extends the battery by 1 week, you got your money back, but I am sure this doesn't even do that.

It might appear on your feed because the algorithm thinks you'd be interested, but it is not a front page deal (at least not yet).

Use them in my golf carts. Pro tip, buying six gets you a three dollar video credit, which I did twice and then it wouldn't work anymore, apparently a 12 max purchase

So does WD40 or any WD40 knock-off.
If you use petroleum jelly, don't apply too much.

These washers have similar material as the dish washing scrub pad. Can I just cut the scrub pad to size and use them as washers? Not sure if it will make any difference.

I use these, they work pretty well for keeping corrosion at bay. For $1 it's an easy decision.

What causes corrosion? Because i live in the northeast where corrosion is caused by the crap they put on the roads and in 20 years of owning cars never seen corrosion on my battery terminals and I do nothing to protect them. Is it something more common in other areas?

lol.I'm not sure if you are trolling or not. It's not the washers, it's what's in them. I use white lithium grease, it's just a little thicker than spray or WD 40. Don't worry about the washers.

When I replaced my car battery at Batteries+ the tech suggested I use these. For a buck its cheap insurance.
