Is the difference between these and the MAX batteries very noticeable? I'd only be using these for a drill, tire inflator, some other smaller tools. Probably not anything where max output is needed, but I'm not sure.

You probably don't need the max... it's really for things like the torque wrenches, sawzall, circular saw (high demand type tools).

That being said, unless you need an extra battery right now, hold off. This deal is luke warm at best. You can usually pick up a 4AH/6AH max kit for $80ish if you do the free tool hack. Search for ridgid batteries.

Basically- they do buy a tool, get a tool free offers. And the 6/4 max kit is usually one of the options for the free tool. Order any tool and the battery kit. Only pick up the battery kit, or pick up both and return the tool. It spilts the discount between both items, so you get the battery kit for about 40-50% off.

Side note- I tried the regular 4ah and a max 4ah in the weedwacker I got recently- didn't notice a difference.

MAX lasts in lights longer from what I can tell. Overall not a great deal since a kit with 6max, 4max and charger goes for $90 with a hack.

Just FYI, check the clearance tool section too. I got the max output version of this kit for $80 yesterday. I'd post a deal on it but I couldn't find the product on Home Depo's website so no way of searching availability.

I think you're referring to max output 6ah+max output 4ah+charger bundle. I saw a few on clearance in 20152. Internet number for the item: 320163469, brickseek doesn't bring any results though. Store sku for those who may want to ask by going in/calling the store to ask availability: 1007775901 (how do I know? I picked up one of these a while ago and pulled up this info on the home depot app). Good luck.

It was a 2 pack starter set. Came with a charger and bag.

No, it was a 2 4ah starter set that came with a charger and bag just like this set. I found a 2 4ah battery set on the site but it wasn't the "starter" kit. I used the item number, UPC code, and Ridgid's item number and couldn't find it on their site at all.

You're right. I went back to the store. There are still a few max output 4ah+2ah for $81. The other one (6ah+4ah) is on clearance for $159.

They must be getting rid of 6x4, 4x4, and 4x2 batteries. The 4x4 set was labeled $90 something but rang up $80 at the register.

You can get the RIDGID 4tool combo kit with 4ah max and 2ah max batteries on clearance for $215 in store. Many stores in my area still carry them. Sell the tools if you don't want them.
