To be fair the Whirlpool is a Turbo Brewer so basically the filter in these is too poorly/cheaply made to handle brewing any faster than similar to a "gravity" feed it would seem. Or they were defective from the start, no way to tell but I dissected three of them and it wasn't from the needle as they were leaking up toward the to of the cup more.
These are not Keurig pods. These are aluminum pods that work with Nespresso classic machines. Both are different systems. I have used this brand of capsules and they are good. For this price, it looks like a good deal.
I'm just wondering if I should buy the original machine or go with the new vertuo machines. Any recommendation is appreciated. Thanx

Vertuo machines are usually cheaper, make better coffee but pods are usually more than a dollar each. Original machines became expensive recently but pods are way cheaper and 3rd party pods are available (Peet's, Starbucks etc). If you drink 2 or more coffees a day, original machine would be cheaper in the long run.
