For adjustable wrenches i look at Bahco. Bahco is owned by snap-on and they make some of the best wrenches at half the price of a snap- on priced adjustable.

I just checked Bahco out and I see what you are talking about, those look like nice wrenches! The reversable one to make a pipe wrench looks sweet and I want one!

Irega are also a good choice for an adjustable wrench and are produced in Spain. Channellock in fact are rebranded Irega.

I lucked out at a flea market and picked up one of the older Craftsman 12 inch wrenches that were still made in the USA for like $5. Unfortunately I don't see much of the older stuff anymore. I just got lucky that day..
