I have one of these with a couple Jamo bookshelf speakers hooked up to a Fosi 2.1 channel amp in my basement and love it for listening to records while playing pool. It does has auto off and puts out way more bass than I ever need, I tend to use it at 30-40% max power most of the time even listening to electronic or hip hop where you want a lot of bass.

Jamo have below average quality control. My sub was exchanged 4 times for popping every minute. I give them all the credit for paying shipping both ways and not forcing me to do weird stuff to prove anything. They even sent me the replacement before I sent mine back. A+ customer support and the only reason I recommend jamo products.

The quality of the sub is also very decent and I like the punchy bass for my untrained ears

answer myself: it has cable included! I thought I need buy some special cable like the speakers!

90 Degree power cable and RCA cable are included for exceptional space management.

Yep, I have this sub on my living room TV and while it is absolutely a great value and fills in the "lows" it doesn't get close to 20hz. Would recommend 100% at this price but as you said, don't expect the world here. Good bedroom or secondary setup sub.

I have it hooked up to a pair of Monoprice MTM-100 that has a sub out. Depends on your speakers.
