For me, WEEKENDDEAL24 said invalid unless added before extra5.

I had already bought it at the previous 1,083. I contacted Lenovo and the rep wouldn't price match this deal exactly, but refunded 5% which is about $54. Good enough, better than returning/reordering.

Trying to decide between picking up one of these Legions during various sales or a Nitro 16 with similar specs (7840HS, 4060, 16GB/512GB) for $999 on Amazon where I have $200+ gc. I imagine the Legion build quality is probably much better, but that might be about it.

Noob question. I have an Amex Platinum Business card. How can I add any possible discount from amex if it's available? Any way for me to know if I'm eligible before purchase?

If you're using the AmEx app, when you login you'll want to click on the Offers icon. From there you can add merchant offers that are available. It's similar when using a browser, just look for the Offers icon/link.
