I bought this on the Nintendo site earlier this week and I own Sega classics collection. This plays better and looks better than the games on Sega classics collection. Glad I made the buy of each of the Sega ages games I purchased.....

Just for anyone who might not be aware, this contains the original versions of the game. Sonic Origins Plus contains the original versions and also updated wide-screen versions of the mainline games.

If you ONLY want Sonic or have Amazon credit floating around, then this is a fair price.

If you have four extra dollars to spend and don't mind buying direct from Nintendo, the Sega Genesis Classics are on sale:

Last time I checked the Classics bundle doesn't include the Sonic series. Correct me if I'm wrong of course but I don't think I am because I've almost pulled the trigger on this multiple times before checking the games list.

Also it seems like Amazon digital credits don't count for this. Must be game specific credits or something.

You earn more gold coins from Amazon bs eShop, so if it's identical, always buy elsewhere.

Nintendo nets you 12 coins.

It's not much, but $.40 in eShop credit on a $2.39 purchase isn't bad either
