Check out the specs that its compatible with on the back. I didnt realize it was toyota WS compatible until today so this is a huge savings. Plenty of toyota specific forums report using this with no issues. Some say its even better than OEM spec since its synthetic

You put non-Honda atf in your CRV? I use this oil and it's great but I've always heard that you really can't get away with anything but Honda OEM atf fluid.
I've heard the same thing. I have 250,000 miles using Honda ATF on my civic beater so don't think I'll risk it now.

Viscosity will be too low quickly. It shears fast. No thanks.

I've been using this in my Honda Odyssey (175k miles) for around a decade and never any issues. The label says its compatible with Honda CVTs.

Does that mean we need to change it more frequently?

It's actually highly recommended (not by Honda, but by numerous forms) for the 2016-2022 Honda Pilot since they don't have proper ATF cooling and the DW-1 Honda fluid is conventional and not synthetic. Both of those result in that generation of Honda Pilots burning their stock ATF and in turn wearing out the transmission.

I thought that as well, but this seems to be one of the few non-Honda ATFs that work with confirmation on different car forums. Idemitsu is supposed to be ok as well.

Do yourself a favor and do some research before blindly buying something like this. Oil is oil, but ATF fluid tends to be very specific. I believe that this fluid is excellent... but DYOR for your vehicle.
