I would have never imagined that paying $150 for the Shield in 2017 would be the all time lowest price.

Hopefully with the Switch 2 release later this year (right?), we'll get a new Shield since nvidia made the last switch board.

This is not a deal by any means. At this point, they should be <100 bucks.

I'm in the market for a powerful streaming box. This price is still high what other device options are SDers using? Something economical for 3 rooms so 3 devices. TIA

You have to at least give Nvidia points for being consistent with their pricing model across all their products. This thing has been around for so long it probably costs Nvidia pennies to make

I've been looking at this deal for a few days. What's the big difference between the tube and the tower ?

I get that this is old and price should have come down (despite inflation), but is there a similar alternative device that's cheaper?

Anyone that doesn't need one click apps for streaming should consider any of the popular mini PC boxes powered by the N100 CPU which can run all the same stuff and more

Snagged one for the upscaling abilities to use with the 98" TCL TV that was recently on sale. The upscaling for any SD content on that TV is subpar

I used to want one of these, but at this point it's getting pretty ancient, so for me I don't think it's a good deal. If I bought a tv box I'd probably get an Apple TV. I hope they are discounting because a new shied device is coming soon.

Agreed. I have a TCL Q7 85in and the upscaling is pretty bad. Especially when watching sports or trying to use Chromecast.
