Nothing about this is 29". Here are the dimensions:

47.56 x 23.50 x 27.35 Inches

Edit: The manufacturer provided different dimensions in response to a review. Those dimensions are 44.50" W x 23.50" D x 29.75" H. Not sure which is correct.

"saves space" by hanging all your crap off the sides. I dunno.... I mean I guess for $36 you could just not install all the hanging parts and have a small little laptop desk.

Is it not saving space on the desk top by doing this?

True, but if you're looking to "save space" Im guessing the biggest dimension is height meaning it's actually smaller than 29" which isnt necessarily bad unless you need exactly 29"

That 29" desk height is very short. I just lowered my standing desk to that height and can't put my knees under. I'm 6'2" for reference.

5'10 and sit with leg crossed, barely fit under 26.5" keyboard drawer I have. 29" seems doable unless that wire basket gets in the way. (Maybe you don't need to store your Xbox games there.)

29" is a pretty standard height for office desks and cubicles. Not saying you would be comfortable there either.

I'm 5'8", and my ideal ergonomical desk height is about 22.5". For me, 29" is way too high, lol.

So it is not that 29" desk height is very short, it is that everyone's body is a bit different and have different ergonomic height ranges - and it is too short for you specifically. I'm sure there are many people who 29" height is perfect.

Space-Saving designs typically implies that you're able to do more in the same footprint.

In this case, it's actually a bit worse - overall footprint is awkward with random attachments jutting out.

So when you say "is it not saving space on the desk", while literally yes, practically no, because it is no different than if in place of the attachments, there was more desk.
