edit: Nevermind. The fine print says free shipping on the classic box. Looks like a decent deal. Anyone tried this? How is their salmon?
I've used butcherbox since 2017 big fan of it however not a fan of the salmon. Cod and Scallops are great though just need to soak the scallops in soda water overnight.
The new member 20% discount is not working for me. It says, "sorry, the items in this order are already on sale and are not eligible for promo codes." Although the five percent promo code works

Just curious, wouldn't it turn into a piece of bland rubber after soaking in soda water overnight?

I have. They are atrocious when it comes to shipping.
Tracking is under some crap page that only updates about 20 minutes after they just leave your order and they are not consistent on schedule on subsequent orders.
Cuts are not worth it. Best buy premium at Costco.

I get the Salmon in every box (you can mix it up whenever), and it's wild caught, good color and great taste.
Tri-tip is always an excellent cut when they send it too.

Looks like there are mixed opinions when it comes to the Salmon and overall quality. Will skip and just stick with the wild caught Salmon from Costco. Not worth the headache just to save a couple of bucks a pound, and then be stuck with 12lbs of sub par salmon.
Costco's frozen wild Salmon was $30 for 3lbs on sale recently (currently $35). Excellent quality salmon. Costco also has a previously frozen wild caught for $10/lb that is also excellent quality. I just buy the frozen one now as it is so much more convenient to just thaw one or two portions and cook it the next day vs having to cook the entire 2lb fillet.
