16x10 monitors are rarer than hen's teeth.

a few years ago Staples had 24" Dell U2412M on clearance @ $100 a pop.

I drove around to ~ 10 Staples stores and scored 9 of them.

Using 3 of them as I post this message.

Gave 2 to my son..sold 3 of them to co-workers at cost.

kept one as a back-up.

one of my proudest aquisitions.

I have owned a bunch of 16:10 monitors, including a previous version of the Dell 30".

I do like the aspect ratio, but I wish this monitor had a resolution of 3840 x 2400. I got used to the ultra sharp text on my three side by side LG 27" 4K monitors, so going down to a much lower pixel density on this 2560 x 1600 30" monitor would be a big downgrade.

I still have several of the old Apple Cinema and Dell 30" displays, and I love the aspect ratio, but I now use a 50" 4K HDTV instead (the $150 TCL BestBuy deal from Black Friday).

Slightly tempted but my current ones (older models of this one) are still working well... no real reason to upgrade... although if it hit $300 then I might have to.

Right. But looking at the trend there may not be another model in the future

Yes, that would be unfortunate... but I'll live.... maybe with a 50" 4K monitor/TV. Smilie
