I called Costco Travel today. They said Thursday a new promo code email will be sent out, this has been a popular deal. They will also give you a promo code over the phone.

I used it the same day. If you're instantly approved online, they give you the card number with a temporary credit limit. So you should be able to use it right away. Saved $800!

Then they've changed the policy. Many people in this thread did this like 3 days ago. I guess the higher-ups ended that option.
