Who uses their Weber for only 6 years? They easily last 15-20 years as long as you clean em.
What is wrong with porcelain cast for chicken?

I know Weber is considered the holy grail of grills but how would this compare to Weber Genesis?

I have not used this grill, but know Weber's. At $300 you can buy a new one every 2 years for 6 years of use. Or buy a Weber for $1000 for 6 years of use and sell it afterwards for $100 depending on condition. I know not exact comparisons but it's also easier to spend $300 compared to $1000.

I bought this same price during 4th July deals. It's a good grill. A personal limitation is the cast iron grates. I grill a lot of chicken so cast iron is a no no for me. I bought separate SS grates from Amazon for $50 but also needed to trim the width of those a little for a good fit. so total became $350 for me. This combo has worked so perfect for me. Make sure to allow heating with lid closed for about 4-5 mins (takes above 500f, easy) before cooking so you have a nice high temp, otherwise you'll hardly reach 300f.

Get the Weber. You'll need parts eventually (matter of when, not if) and there is way more market support for Weber than Members Mark grills.

Where these grills fail...Weber included, is not the fire box, it's the painted sheet steel cabinets and support structures. The storage is useful but the cheap sheet metal will rust in short order. Good luck finding parts for this one 3 years from now.

Have had this exact grill for over two years now. It sits on my deck all year round in southern Ohio weather. Not a speck of rust on it anywhere.

It will rust. Likely start where it's difficult to see...like where the cabinet shelves meet the support legs or behind where the tank sits.

I have the fake built-in kitchen version of this, very solid unit. Had it for a year now and haven't really seen any degradation.

Is the 3-year Allstate warranty for $35 worth it? Or will Sam's cover it for the life of it under their umbrella store warranty?

What does this grill use for a grease pan? A hanging bucket or a slide out tray or nothing? EEK!
