"Notification when someone quotes you in a post" Missing from Activity Stream

Good morning,
Several days ago, a green notification that someone had quoted me in a post poped up in the bottom right corner as it should. I didn't immediately react to it and didn't notice which thread it was in. I wanted to come back to it later but couldn't: There is no more such notifications in my Activity Stream (on the "My Public Profile" page).
Is there some kind of setting which I need to enable? Or is this feature gone for good?

If so, quotes were removed from that page last summer but you can still find recent quote notifications on this page:

It looks like you are using the classic version of the site, so the easiest way to get to that page is to click the (!) icon next to the PM/mail icon at the top of the page.
