These still have the obsolete lightning charging port. Apple should be updating these with USB-C soon.

It served its purpose through the 2010s, but the next decade belongs to USB-C. Theres no point in getting new devices with outdated cables. You're just putting more work on yourself.

Suggest purchasing these on a card that provides an extended warranty. My first pair died around the 20 month mark, and my credit card company provided me with a full refund
