Unless I'm mistaken, Trunks broke the time line and this is the consequence

Does anyone know why Battle of the Gods or Resurrection F aren't available to purchase on Prime Video?

I'll let everyone judge for themselves, but I cannot recommend Super at the price of free - I feel bad for wasting my time finishing it but I am a completionist. The new movies are decent (animation in the Broly movie is pretty incredible), but the anime is so full of fan service and rehashings and does a lot of OG cool characters like Piccolo and Tien absolutely dirty. They also introduce one of the most poorly written and cringe characters in the history of anime, Ribrianne, who fights with the power of love and will make you want to tear you eyes and ears out every time she is on screen. Power scaling makes absolute no sense (Roshi fighting a Frieza-tier character) and everyone magically "surpasses their limits" while at the brink of defeat over and over again. The art style and animation is generally also terrible across the board. As bad as GT was, I think it is better overall than Super. I have watched Z all the way through about 5 or 6 times, but I cannot bring myself to rewatch a single episode of super. It's a 0/10 for me

Is this a good version for DBZ beginners? I'm interested in more story, less filler episodes.

Nevermind Kia is the one I'm interested in

Please no one buy this. This isn't a deal. You're a sucker if you buy media through a web store that depends on the store to maintain its leases on the IP and existing to access the media you "purchased." Genuinely a fool to buy this. If you don't care about owning your media then at least get a trial at one of many streaming sites that has the full series and binge it. But I recommend nyaa or just a free streaming site for anime personally. Nothing about the Super series is worth paying for except maybe the movies. Even then you should never pay for a temporary license to digital media that someone else controls for you. Ever. Period. Not a slickdeal. It is disgusting.

Uhhh…, no. I agree to disagree. We are living in the digital era now. Every media content will be in the digital format soon or later. When is your last time you load a VCR/CD/VCD/Laser Disc/DVD/HD-DVD/BD movie on your player?

Physical media is dead my friend. Like the Frozen Queen sings, Let it go…

I would probably avoid Crunchyroll. Sony recently bought them and more than doubled the cost of subscriptions.

Nah worse than that. He literally straight up mentioned nyaa which is illegally pirating.

At that point his whole argument goes out the window as you can steal anything and nothing is a slickdeal.

That's not necessarily true. I bought a season of Rocky and bullwinkle a while back hoping to slowly buy them all, and now you can't buy them anymore. The one I bought, however, is still available for me to watch.

Physical media is king. You don't own anything digital. Digital can be taken away at any moment, with no notice and no compensation. It has happened many times between digital games, movies and shows. By all means, though, keep renting your stuff.

Physical also has far better picture and audio quality.

My understanding is that it only doubled for people who had a grandfathered rate from Funimation from 10 years ago. Most Funimation users only saw a little increase but no change to current Crunchyroll subscribers.
