Wow. I'm not a GPU nerd, but my sense is that Nvidia has nothing even remotely similar performance-wise at this price point?? How future-proof is this card for ultrawide 1440p at 144hz?? I can definitely get a 3080Ti cheaper but…12gb vs. 20gb…

Yeah it's better than a 4070ti but worse than a 4080 so this is a great deal as long as you don't care about ray tracing.

At 3440x1440 165Hz my 6800xt works phenomenally, usually 120fps+ on ultra for graphically intensive titles. The 7900xt will blow that performance out of the water. If you have a low pixel response time (especially qd-oled) and adaptive (free) sync (which you almost certainly do), it will feel smoother than a Macallan 25.

As for futureproofing... difficult to say. Definitely more futureproof than a 3080Ti, and quite a bit cheaper. Plus you get AV1 encode, which addresses a traditionally weak point with encoding on RDNA2 and earlier.

I don't play games. Is this a good card for content creators or am I better off using the CUDA available in NVIDEA cards? I use Adobe Premiere and Lightroom mostly. I am currently using a NVIDIA 2070 Super in the PC I want to put a new card in. I have a ROG 3090 Strix in my other PC. I am holding the line with that one. Thank you
