So, the "deal" here is (maybe) how Home Depot is doing the "combos".
The tool comes with its own battery, and then as a deal, home Depot is giving a second, standalone, battery for free in the combo. When you add both to cart, each item is discounted.
So what I gather the OP is saying, if you buy the combo, then return the standalone battery from the combo, you get the prices OP listed.
Attached is an example for the inflator, how it's priced in your cart .
Buy fan with battery get extra battery free. Total cost is prorated across both items. Return extra battery or do not pick up extra battery. Almost all Ryobi buy x get y free deals work this way -- people refer to it as Ryobi "hack". Some people claim this is cheating the system, some do it all the time. Home Depot is fully aware of what is going on.

If you order delivery to store, you need to pick it up, even online said it will auto return in two weeks, which didn't happen to me, it sat there for over a month and still not returned and I need to pick it up and return it at the same trip.

Hmmmm . . . the situation you described is an outlier. Glad you were paying attention.
