the super high inflation makes one time buy things look cheaper and affordable. The problem is the day to day expenses - food, restaurant, gas, activities - drains most of the cash.
What are you talking about it had nothing to do with Slickdeals. Actually I'm paying cheap for now for tools than I did four or five years ago so inflation has nothing to do with this deal This is cheaper than it was years ago. I've been buying so many Ryobi tools the last year because they're so much cheaper to buy
They do... In fact some managers, if on duty, will not allow employees to do the return because of that. Luckily, I have a couple nearby Home Depots to choose from and have had to drive to a different store for the return.
My brain 🧠is about to explode.....wtf are you returning 😂😆 just don't pick it up and set to pickup at another location.

it is not a shell game picking the best return spots 😠😂
set one for delivery and one to pickup and never leave your house.

If you order delivery to store, you need to pick it up, even online said it will auto return in two weeks, which didn't happen to me, it sat there for over a month and still not returned and I need to pick it up and return it at the same trip.
Just do pickup at a different store for the item you don't want, call and cancel the pickup. Been doing it for years, never an issue.
Your return happens faster with the added benefit of helping the staff move stuff out of their already obnoxiously cluttered online pickup area.

Everything is correct , except don't waste your time calling it will get credited automatically in a couple of days.

Or you could just be a little nice to the workers (not HD, screw them)… like I said. Have you seen those areas?
Just be nice, spend the 5min and cancel the pickup so they can throw the thing in the restock cart.
Kind of annoying that Ryobi had the Tek4 line of tools with almost same shaped Li-Ion battery and a bunch of tools, and then discontinued that line. Then a few years later they come out with this Li-Ion battery lineup with almost same shaped battery, just with USB charge plug built-in.
But at least I was able to get a bunch of the Tek4 tools for really cheap, including a multimeter and flashlight I still use regularly today, since they were clearing everything out.
Yep, they're "totally committed" to reverse compatibility in batteries... I mean really, how much effort would it have taken to make these smaller batteries interchangeable?

It's a net zero. No extra work is being done. Whether they take it out of the pick up area on day one or day three. When you call they might say just don't pick it up it will cancel automatically in 48 hours.

48hrs? My HD will keep items in there for a week or two before canceling and returning to stock… I've order things while traveling for work, came back a week later and grabbed them.
48hrs isn't a hard/fast rule. I'm glad your store moves things that quickly/efficiently, good on them… but I've had none in NY/NJ/PA/CT do that.
It may surprise you… but things are different outside your little bubble.

48 hours 7 days who cares 😂😂😂 it is still net zero of time and effort for an employee.
Your order will remain available for a maximum of 7 days from the time you receive a Pick Up in Store notification. Orders not claimed after 7 days may be subject to cancellation with refund.

Yes, and not take up space in an already cluttered mess of an online pickup area… I'm really not sure why you're arguing against helping out a minimum wage working sifting through shelves/bins of orders.
If all it takes is a 5min phone call to make their job even the smallest bit easier… I'm all for it. You on the other hand seem like a self centered turd that's unwilling to even accept that clearing a space on the shelf sooner could potentially help the staff out (no matter how small that help may be.)
Again, think outside your little bubble… and perhaps just trying thinking about someone besides yourself. Who knows, might do you and them some good.
People will do anything for a good deal, including ripping off a retailer. Peoples moral compass these days has really shifted .
Ripping off the retailer???
It's a clearly printed return value on their receipt. If they didn't want to prorate items, they'd do what Lowes does and just zero out the "free" item, which forces you to return both.
It's perfectly clear that HD doesn't care and is still making tons of money… even if a small percentage of people are getting 30-40% off things. If it were affecting them in any way, they'd change the policy.

No need to return the battery. Just don't pick it up.
But still doesn't show OP price
Wrong! Home Depot won't let you deliver and pickup...you either have to get all delivered or all pickup. If you try this their site will say... "Please make sure promotional items have the same delivery or pickup options and try again"

Only time a physical return is needed is if the stuff actually isn't available in store and you need to get both shipped.
