I've had this bag in 40L for a few years to use as a carry-on. I paid about $140 as part of a travel pack and it was well worth it. For $20 more, if you need a bit more size, 40L is the largest that will still fit in an overhead.

Very good quality materials, zippers, and lots of pockets. Has lasted about 85 flights thus far and will easily last that many more.

Excellent find OP. This is a very well reviewed bag and is Wirecutter's choice for a business travel carry-on backpack.

I have been using this bag (in the Desert Palm / Pond Blue colorway) for about 3 months and overall I'm a big fan. It's not perfect, but it's thoughtfully designed, has easy access to devices, papers, etc... and is not excessively heavy on its own.

I travel with it frequently between NYC and London. My biggest complaint is that it's hard to get it to slip over the handle of my roll-a-board suitcase. But that's also because my roll-a-board tends to roll away while I'm trying to slide the Topo on top.

I paid $129 on a pre-BF sale and I was pleased with that price, but at $59 (even $69 if you need shipping) this is a steal.

I saw a number of comments poo pooing this deal. I own the 30L and it is the best under the seat "one bag" solution I have found. I travel internationally a couple times a month for work and this gets my highest recommendation at $140 or less. At this price, it is a steal. I ordered the 40L bag and a couple of other things for the free shipping. Even $10 shipping if you only want this 1 bag is more than worth it.

It compares favorably to other $150 backpacks. If you are content with cheap shit, fine, but I know of no other pack that will fit my laptop and is enough for a 3 day trip that fits under a seat. Quality materials, and I've used it mutiple flights per month on top of daily use for over a year.

Like I said, unless you are some weird nomad traveler a roller bag paired with a small backpack is better. Quite frankly I am looking next to getting a roller with a laptop section on the front and maybe eliminating the backpack too.

I agree with an exception. If you are primarily rolling a bag through an airport, the 4 wheels should be fine. If you are traveling about through street, curbs, stairs, etc., the bags with 2 large rubber wheels (called rollaboard, I think) are much better and almost indestructible. On some very long trips I used a large and overpacked rollaboard and dragged it over terrible conditions and banged it down over stairs and it has held up well. Many people cannot carry a heavier backpack comfortably.

Yeah need both. Roller is for stuff you may need on plane, but at hotel keep it in the room

Looks like a solid travel backpack. Been looking for a new one myself but kind of want to find something with 'hip straps' that support some of the weight on the hip. Anyone know if a good pack that fits this description? I always come out of a long trip with sore shoulders.
