They're fine from my experience. Hokas fall apart and I'd put a giant question mark next to their durability...

Price wise you won't find any hokas at this lower range.

I've had two pairs of ASICS from deals with the mesh toe portion, both have torn. I believe one pair was a form of Quantum. Not a fan of the mesh toe uppers, I'd trust a leather upper over that before ripping and toes peaking through.

How do ASICS compare to Hoka? I have ASICS now and I'm not impressed but I'm also not a serious runner.

Hoka is the real deal. ASICS has been slacking and needs to take notes from hoka. That said you won't find hoka for $39.99. This is a slick deal. Repped.

I usually get an 8 in Asics compared to 8.5 Nike or Adidas. The more common issue is toe box depending on the model line.

Shame, it's OOS for my size.

I usually wear a 10 mens in Brooks Ghost. I got a 9.5 of this gel quantum based on the length and other country sizes and it fits perfectly.
Bought in Dec 2022 for only $34 with sales and coupons at the time.
I don't go running, just wear both as everyday shoes. They are nice enough. But not light as a feather like Brooks.

EDIT: And personally I don't like Hokas at all. Too much cushion. It feels like a large pillow is attached to each foot. But not in a comfortable way. More of an off-balance way.

In for one Quantum. I've had a few of the Quantum style in the past and are comfortable for walk around the neighborhood shoes.
