I have this saw and a bunch of other Metabo-HPT stuff. If you get this, don't use it with the tiny 2Ah battery because you'll be super disappointed. Maybe it's the same with other brands, but when using the tiny 2Ah battery with this saw, when cutting soft Pine wood, the saw shuts down and gives a "battery overheat" indicator after just cutting ~2 pieces of 6ft soft Pine wood. You literally have to wait 10 minutes for the battery to cool before it lets you use it again - which seems like forever. I picked up some Metabo 5Ah batteries and it's a night and day difference. I can literally cut wood that is much harder than Pine for 30 minutes straight without any overheat issues - making the saw seem like a more professional tool that's able to tackle tough jobs without being bogged down.

If I had the batteries and a Manards near me I'd be all over this. This saw has a deeper cut capacity than many of the 7 1/4" saws on the market. Also it's blade right, which I prefer.

Yes, Hitachi is compatible with Metabo HPT, but not with the german Metabo brand. The HPT stands for Hitachi Power Tools.

If you do not need cordless one and in doubt between corded and cordeless get the cordeless way better . Except if you really benefit from it. Also Metabo is not in same league with Bosch Milwaukee Mikati Dewalt but they are stil good not my choice though. Metabo miter saw that I tried lacked the accurate build quality.
Just avoid those light green and orange brand at Homedepot. orange one will do the job but heavy bulky not that great(Rigid) . Light Green ones Ryobi are garbage .
Agree 100 percent - Ryobi are total trash! I learned the hard way..

Just go to the store and pick it up off the shelf yourself. If you don't have a store near you, then this deal is not for you due to the S&P fees and the fact that the $10 credit is good in-store only.

Ryobi string trimmers are junk, but their 600psi battery powered washer, impacts, and drills are good for the price. Have to do your research, can't blind buy with them, too risky.
