Yeah, this is NOT a carving set, don't buy this expecting to carve things.

It IS a pretty solid deal on a very starter chisel set if you're getting into woodworking, with a probably crappy stone and a totally usable Eclipse-style honing guide.

Great place to cut your teeth on sharpening, and hone your skills on basic chisel usage.

Seems like a pretty good deal on a total beater set. The case is nice to have too, even if it is blown plastic.

Would this be better than a Nicholson Combination Chisel/Rasp set? Obviously I don't use them a ton. I bought them for completing some project.
