I had a feeling that was the case. I see the offer but after reading reviews I will wait for a digital sale for this one. Sounds like for the switch the cartridge is needed to play, but the games themselves are required to be downloaded which seems annoying if true.

I have a standard switch and let me tell you these ports are not great, both MGS2 and MGS3 run at 30 fps which is double puzzling as MGS2 runs on the original PS2 hardware at 60fps. Fan of both of those games that experienced them on PS2 hardware or the other remakes may think they may not feel the slowness of 30 FPS but they certainly will.

As always, you get what you pay for…. This one, you are basically just getting the 1st game in cart, others are download either through cart validation (2&3) or code (other games included). That's why this has been dropping price for the switch version.

PSP couldn't run MGS2 and 3. They were released on the vita when the HD collection came out. I do believe MGS1 was a available on PSP as it had PS1 games on store.
