I wear these exact contacts for 2 months at a time with no issues. More often that not I'll replace them because of a slight tear rather than because I actually need to.

Been doing this for 20 years. Saves a ton of money. Don't listen to what the eye doctors say about "2-3 weeks." I wear contacts everyday. There have been times I've gotten through the whole summer with 1 pair of contacts.

Keep them clean and be gentle...they will last much longer than what the box says.

i've been using acuvue oasys contacts for a few years and have been pretty happy with them.. but is there an advantage to using the 1-day contacts? i've always used ones that need to be disposed of bi-weekly..

I would not follow this advice blindly at all. Do your own research for this topic and come to your own conclusion. Not switching out contacts MAY have LONG term detrimental effects on your eye. Capitalized letters for emphasis. MAY and LONG term. You can draw a parallel between this and smoking in a sense.

I totally wear em longer than I should for 10+ years and I haven't had much issue but again, do your own research and come to your own conclusion.
Thanks for saying this. If you want to take the chance fine but there's a reason doctors advise not to wear after a certain period of time. Everyone is different, some people have more protein buildup on their contacts, some people are more susceptible to infection. People think they're invincible until they're not.

What site is this, exactly? I'll be there visiting family in a couple of months
I ended up ordering a 2 year-supply to get the maximum benefit. IIRC, I saved about $150 or so, but this was like 18 months ago.

Take a look https://www.visiondirect.co.uk/no...ion-needed or http://Lenstore.co.uk
or just do a google search

I am an eye doctor and for what it's worth almost all of my contact related eye infections are Acuvue Oasys patients that wear them much longer than the two week recommendation. The logic you are using is the same as if I said I've never buckled up when driving for 20 years and haven't died yet. You are advocating to a large group of people to no listen to medical advice citing an anecdotal study with a sample size of 1. Every single patient with a corneal ulcer (small colony of bacteria that eats away on your cornea) that overwore their Oasys says the same thing to me in the exam room. "I've worn my contacts like this for __ years without a problem." It's not a problem until it is. Kudos to you for not having an infection, go buy a lotto ticket, just know you're still higher risk.

I appreciate the link, but it looks like 24 is around 92 pounds, which is much more expensive than this deal

If you are looking for years supply, I see lens.com is much cheaper https://www.lens.com/contact-lens...d_source=1

There's another one with cheaper price

https://www.opticontacts.com/cont...atism.html

I'm getting into contacts again (astigmatism) after getting LASIK done 15yrs ago. So trying to find most reliable pace to order..
Beware lens.com, I almost checked out but then saw they added $70 in taxes and fees on a $130 order?!?!?!?!?! Cheaper per box doesn't always mean cheaper total price

That's because Lens.com adds a hidden "handling fee" of several hundred dollars at checkout.

you also save $200 by not having to renew your prescription each year (just keep in mind). and i'm sure the deals rotate so you just need to look around and particularly look for sites based in UK

I can see the advantage being if you wear glasses mainly, and occasionally wear contacts. It makes sense to use a daily lens instead of having something sitting in solution basically wasting away.
1-days are just more convenient as far as keeping them clean. Also a good idea if you swim or do a lot of outdoor activity (with contacts in of course.)

Also, I have dry eyes as a side effect of a medication. Having lenses get dry like that seems to make the stubborn deposits build up quickly and also increase risk of tearing one. I used to be able to make some of these last months, though, but nowadays the 'dailies' idea sounds better for me.

What really sounds great is LASIK lmao
