Walmart's roadside warranty sucks. I got 4 new tires for one of the Black Friday deals and recently got a flat tire. They told me it would be a week to replace it under warranty. Then, when I took the tire off the rim to put a spare on, they claimed I voided the warranty on the original punctured tire. I will be buying tires only from Costco from now on.

I believe this was ~$70 during Black Friday. I didn't buy it because I don't like Goodyear tires.

I've bought the cheap Goodyear tires only sold at Walmart a couple of times now. They don't last nearly as long as a more expensive tire from Costco, but also don't cost as much. Cost per mile is probably about the same, if I had to guess.

I think the Goodyear Reliant tires are the very much the budget "name brand" option. I picked up the Assurance tires from WM on sale (maybe $15 more per tire) and they've been good.

Goodyear owns Kelly and Douglas too. Goodyear Reliant is a Walmart-exclusive tire yes but in non-Walmart form it's the "Kelly Edge Touring A/S". Same UTQG, warranty, tread depth, load/speed rating at same tire size etc. the only difference being the tread itself.
And then there's the even more budget "Douglas Touring A/S". Walmart-exclusive as well and is pretty much a rebrand of the old "Kelly Edge A/S", replacing the old "Douglas All-Season". Same exact tread if you compare. Goodyear just kicked an old tire down the chain (Goodyear -> Kelly -> Douglas) and called it a day.

This ..I just had a unrepairable flat...with the road warranty...first they made me pay for a neww tire which wasn't the same as the others because they claimed I didn't buy them in 2022 but in. 2018...found the receipt at home and they were pissed I was right...being a awd SUV they said they wouldnt replace the others...only the one damage..replacing the others which is required on AWD was on me...of course they only give me half the money back on the tire saying the warranty is a pro rated thing and I used half of the tires 40000 mile warranty by driving 20k on them. F Walmart never again

Bought the Goodyear Reliant All-Season 205/55R16 91V All-Season Tires for my Nissan Leaf in 2022 for $81 each but it included free installation w/o roadside protection. Now they are $80 and installation w/o roadside protection is $18 each as I am not a Walmart Plus member. These tires have been fine in the dry, rain, and snow, which we do not get much of anymore. However, I do not drive much and I drive slow, so this worked out most excellent for me.

You also have to be careful of some Walmart brands. They aren't always the same as the Goodyear models. Goodyear sells them custom models to Walmart.
Additionally, I always call the local guys and shop the price around. Often other tire shops will match the price.

So yeah, you have alternatives.
