Def a good price for honey sourced from Michigan/Great Lakes region. Just a note from personal experience, tho… many of us do not eat honey fast enough to prevent it from solidifying. You can fix this by heating it up in the microwave (or dropping sealed container in hot/boiling water).

The above said, this is why I normally only buy honey in glass containers. Just take the lid off, heat up in microwave for 30 seconds, and it's good to go. You can't do this in plastic containers without having to worry about the hot plastic leaching into the honey.

You may store it upside down as well, with some risk of leaking though, but closing lid tightly

I always transfer my honey to glass jars.
this is a great price for honey, but best for those in the great lakes area for local honey.

I thought a product needed a certain number of reviews before being able to hit SD?

That only applies to Amazon / Walmart 3rd party sellers

Be careful. Thats a great way to spread disease like foulbrood. You should never feed your bees honey from an unknown source like this that could contain spores.

Local is expensive. Found some at the dollar star (south florida) from Greece. $4.50/14 oz. Mainly use it for gallons of ice tea with other less refined sugars. Niece in law (usually free) says her dad's bees don't produce much in the Florida wintertime. Guess they're dormant?

We just finished a jar like that, the last of it crystallized at the end. I thought I'd like the wide mouth package but actually hated it. We use very little honey, so a regular squirt bottle works better for us. With this one had to get a spoon every time. Honey itself is just average. Not bad but nothing special either.

Most honey produced is fake. Not saying this is, but the price is suspicious.

Amazon has to be buying this for $1 to turn even a slight profit. How is it possible to produce 24 ounces of honey for a dollar?

yep, my dad had bees for awhile, I got a jar from him, and it lasted years, never turned hard/crystallize. Because it was pure real honey.
