Great monitor! Great price -- too bad only "special people" get the price.

I have the M7. it's VA this one is IPS. the TV features are decent. sitting at my desk the colors wash out when I look at the edges of the panel since il not looking at them straight on.

M80C may be better if you like/use the Smart TV features. However, it is a VA panel compared to this one, which is an IPS panel. The M80C doesn't seem to have a Display Port input. It seems like it will be a bit brighter though. So I guess I'd say in terms of pure screen quality this one is better (though maybe not as bright) but in terms of smart features, the M80C crushes it.

What does it mean when color is washed off? Surface level it seems like this would be great for office work and maybe photo/video editing

There's a second monitor with the same designation, S80UA, for $49 more with EPP. The only difference I could find was that it had speakers, while the one Op posted doesn't. Does anyone see any other difference? (besides the way they wrote title)

I got a popup offering a coupon code for $25 off if I signed up for Samsung's newsletter. Code arrived in less than 10 minutes. Brought the price down to $175 before tax.

I have ua model and it's a great monitor. Just about as good as an ips gets. Colors are definitely NOT washed out! It's not a matter of opinion either. There's plenty of settings, and if you still can't get it right, then either you have a defect or you're used to "retail/store" mode on TV!

I have c2 primary monitor, LG dual up on the side, and this Samsung under c2 slanted. No complaints of any

Thanks for sharing. I usually use Rtings to find the best settings and then slightly change them based on my preference.

Thanks, I bought the UA one with the speakers. I have a S70A For a while it has great color and picture. The main issue people may face with 4k on a 27" is the text gets really small, so you have to use Windows scaling.
