I have 4 of these 1.7 power stacks and they are great for small tools like drills, multi tool, or flash lights. So small and lightweight. Highly recommend

If you're a girly man you probably need these lightweight batteries. Just get a bunch of them because they're not going to last very long.
I use 15ah batteries on my small tools and I've rigged RV batteries to fit my grinders and saws. Am I manly enough for your standards?

Some of you guys seem confused on the Powerstack batteries reason for being.

The advantage is that these batteries give your tools the Torque of a battery 2x it's size.

The battery also accepts 2x the charging cycles.
Even if they can recharge 2x as many times as a 4ah with 21700 cells (doubtful) that's still less total amp-hours delivered before end-of-life *and* you have to stick it on the charger twice as often.

These pouch packs are cheaper to produce yet Dewalt is charging a premium for them. I see them dropping in value fairly quickly in the coming year.

Yeah but these batteries are tiny and light. Not everyone needs a 4ah battery

No idea what the hell other posters are talking about. The little powerstacks are like having a 5ah on your tool in terms of power, it's night and day vs a regular 2ah or 3ah battery if you have a tool that demands power (circular saw, impact wrench, sawszall, or if you are pushing a OMT hard). They don't last super long, which is too be expected, but they are great if you've got a small workload in an awkward space or overhead. They are awesome for not power hungry tools too because they make the tool as light as possible.

If you've got a big workload these aren't the choice, just use the appropriate battery for the job.

I know right, I use a SDS hammer drill for everything. Driving deck screws, hanging cabinets, door hardware and so on. I made a special reinforced tool belt holder for it so I can still walk straight.

I never said they were. Not everyone needs an "oil resistant" battery.

If someone needs two and doesn't care about that factor, this is a better deal. Just trying to be helpful.

It is a better price and it's cool linking that deal, since some people might prefer that deal.

This is arguably a better deal, since the oil resistant batteries have a much higher retail price than the standard batteries. I rarely use my tools in an environment where they get oil on them, but still prefer these for the rubber over mold. They look nicer and take bumps and scratches better.
I wouldn't pay double the price for it, but a few bucks more is well worth it.
